Error code 0x800f0831
It is an error people can encounter while using the Windows Update service. Indeed, it’s not pleasant to see this, as it means that none of the cumulative, security or other updates can be installed successfully. Most recently, users encountered this error when trying to download the KB5012599 update for Windows 10/11.
As checked its due to a missing or corrupted update for Latest KB. Which is in case one or two monthly update of previous months will not be installed properly.

> To access the Windows Update Catalog, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
Windows Update Catalog.
> In the Search text box, type your search terms. For example, like cumulative update for windows server 2019 or use KB number to find.
> Click Search, or press Enter.
> Browse the list that is displayed to select the updates that you want to download.
> Click Download to download the updates.
> Once downloaded install the patch via manually installation or using DISM.
> After missing package installed reboot the machine. Then proceed to install latest package.
